In a thriller the Cleveland Piledrivers staged a dramatic comeback over the
Los Angeles Mustangs winning by a score of 2 to 1 at Progressive
Field.
Cleveland came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning with 2
runs using 2 hits. Pablo Sandoval started the inning off right when he drew
a walk. Chris Snyder was next to the plate, but was promptly struck out.
Gordon Beckham then doubled. John Axford then let loose a wild pitch.
Felipe Lopez came up to bat and ripped a one-base hit. Los Angeles was
out-hit by Cleveland, 11 hits to 5.
Francisco Rodriguez(4-5) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 innings.
Axford(0-4) suffered the loss in relief. 'What a game!,' Rodriguez said
afterward. 'When we won it I almost couldn't believe it!'
